What Does A Heart Feel Like Before It’s Broken?

What Does A Heart Feel Like Before It's Broken?, an original poem by Shauntae Saruwatari.

What does a heart feel like before it’s broken?

Open and ready for love’s soaking

It’s like when you’re poke

Poke

Poking

And you reach your peak

It’s that monumental bliss you feel from the

Crown of your head to the soles of your feet

What does a heart feel like before it’s broken?

It’s forever disclosing every aspect of you

It’s grabbing your partner’s hand and saying

I’ll do whatever you ask me to do

It’s being open like a book and your partner is the reader

It’s your partner touching your lines and saying

I can’t wait to get in between them

What does a heart feel like before it’s broken?

It’s like never having to second guess

When you ask, “Do you love me”

And they say yes

It’s always trusting

That you are never missing something

Like the grass couldn’t be any greener

It’s having someone change your whole demeanor

After hearing the worst news

It’s seeing them hurt over someone or something

that hurt you

What does a heart feel like before it’s broken?

It’s not knowing what you don’t know

But every lesson is seed meant

To make your life grow

Stay Fruitful
